MVP Interactive collaborated with the Tennessee Titans to bring fans the first NFL mural to incorporate augmented reality technology!
With the 2020 NFL season approaching, the Tennessee Titans were faced with a unique situation due to COVID-19 restrictions that didn’t allow fans into their stadium for opening day. However, with a future-minded marketing team, the Titans wanted to find a way to still engage fans and residents to make them feel a part of the season.
Murals are a very big attraction in Nashville, so the Titans had eyed a project incorporating them into their marketing campaign for sometime, but wanted to make sure when they created one, that it wouldn't just be an art piece, but an experience. The Titans wanted to capture through the art and really show this community the unity that it represents and also the kind of hope and resilience that the people of Tennessee exemplify. In line with creating something for the community - they wanted to bring the mural to life. The Titans reached out to MVP Interactive to add an immersive experience to a commissioned mural. The Titans were willing to take a chance and service their fan base through new technology by taking the mural a step further and making it interactive using augmented reality web-based technology - a first of it’s kind experience for a mural in the NFL.
The Titans-inspired 135’ x 26’ mural in downtown Nashville called “Tennessee Tough” was created by Nashville-local muralist MOBE. “Tennessee Tough” is located at the corner of Sixth Avenue South and Korean Veterans Boulevard, across the street from Music City Center.
