The idea was to celebrate Austrian culture by letting Mozart talk about Strauss, whom he never met but who served as inspiration for many of his works. Although Mozart and Strauss never met in person, as Mozart unfortunately died long before Strauss was born, he was still considered one of the greatest and strongest influences on Strauss's works. In the Vienna City Park there is a monument in honour of Johann Strauss.
